You didn’t think I was going to do it, did you? Well I proved you wrong. I DID put all twelve sons in one panel. Count ‘em.
Maybe I’m glossing over too much, but in between repetitious genealogies and Joseph saving Egypt, Jacob/Israel goes on a blessing binge in Genesis chapters 47-49. He blesses his sons, his grandsons (namely Joseph’s boys), and even Pharaoh. Note the continuing trend in these verses where the patriarch ignores birth order and gives preference to a younger son (Judah over Reuben, Ephraim over Manasseh).
